Our Mission

Providence Baptist Church exists to glorify God, to make and equip disciples, to minister to our community, and to reach the world for Christ.  We seek to do that biblically, prayerfully, and as entire church body.

"All the Word to all the World."

What We Believe

We believe in the divine inspiration of the Bible (both the Old and New Testaments), the creation of man by the direct act of God, and the incarnation and the virgin birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

We affirm and believe his identification as the Son of God, his vicarious atonement for the sins of mankind by the shedding of His blood on the cross; the resurrection of His body from the tomb and His power to save men from sin.

When a person becomes a follower of Christ by placing faith in Him, he becomes a new creation through rebirth and regeneration by the Holy Spirit; and the gift of eternal life by the grace of God.

We believe the entire Bible to be the perfect, inerrant Word of God, and that God calls us to be students of His Word, continuing to grow, serve, and obey God all the days we are given.

What Must I Do To Have Eternal Life?

Romans 3:23

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 5:8

But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 10:9

Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Romans 10:10

For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.

Romans 10:13

For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

John 3:16-18

For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he is not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.
